STANDARD SEO - Search Engine Optimisation
META
Firstly, the toolkit from 'my web shop window' is powered by 1Kit and has all the basic elements of optimisation built in. Namely, the type of information that 'Search Engines' look for when categorising web pages is all in the web page set-up area (often referred to as META). Each page has the ability to edit it's:
META Description (this needs to be same sentence you are going to use in the Heading 1 on your Home page)
META Key Phrases (separated by a comma, avoid capital letters and spaces after each comma e.g. website, web design, etc...)
ALT
Similarly, each image you place on a page has the ability to add an ALT Name (alternative name, picked up by some screen readers for the visually impaired).
HEADING 1
The 'Heading 1' and use of 'Heading 2' etc... in a web page is very helpful for search engines to see the consistency across a web page, so try to ensure the page and the Heading 1 are the same.
LINKS
Having links to associates or industry bodies on your website are viewed very favourably by the major search engines and we would encourage you to add links to your site, plus asking the associate to do a reciprical link on their website back to your new website in return (this shouldn't normally cost you anything, if you are using their services as part of your solution).
CONTENT KEPT UP-TO-DATE
It seems that recently, the major search engines have been favouring websites that have been updated since their last visit to the site. So, try to make new changes to your site on at least a weekly basis (or more frequently if possible).
ADVANCED SEO - Search Engine Optimisation
Whilst all of the above web optimisation guidance is very helpful and essential, it does not guarentee that you will get even as far as page 20 on the major search engines (in some cases websites are as low as page 50+). Many users of Search Engines never normally navigate past page three, whilst some only look at page one. Therefore, it has become necessary to adopt additional strategies to help move a clients websites up the rankings.

Optional Search Engine Optimisation Modules

The toolkit has a number of optional Search Engine Optimisation Modules that have been able to boost clients sites up the major search engines (like Google, Yahoo and MSN) significantly. Nobody is really able to guarantee to get you on the first page of Google or better still Position 1 in the free listings on Page 1 of Google; however, whilst we would never say this, we can say that we have managed to achieve this for many of our clients.
Typically, this type of service can cost upwards of £1,000 a month for businesses in the centre of London, which for most SME companies, is not an affordable option. We have built our search engine optimisation offerings on the basis of a quality service which is still affordable. In fact, we have been told we are cheaper than a box advert in Yellow Pages. We even offer the SEO service on a monthly payment basis, so that you can pay-as-you-go.
EVIDENCE - GOOGLE RESULTS:

To get a feel for what results we have been able to achieve for our clients, please do a search on Google for one of our customers called Mustard Seeds, by going to www.google.co.uk and typing in (one of Mustard Seeds preferred key phrases) i.e. mobile catering chatham and you should see www.mustardseeds.co.uk listed on page one, and often in the number one position on Google, [if you then try this with other towns in the area (which is their preferred client area e.g. rochester or rainham etc...) and you will see similar results on page one or two of Google].
These outstanding results can be achieved for your company too, by using your chosen 'key phrases', combined with a location like your county or town (we also have a UK county option or multiple county options if required). We believe this is quite an achievement, which has been made possible by two years of research, programming and refining of a proprietary toolset we offer to clients on a monthly rental basis. Getting Mustard Seeds to the number one position, on page one is amazing, especially when you think it is competing with over 177,000 other websites for that phrase. Similarly, if you go to www.google.co.uk and type in 'car valet maidstone' you will see that Autovalet Direct are frequently number 1 on page 1 of Google. Given time, we have managed to achieve similar results for Autovalet Direct when you leave the 'location' off the search 'key phrase', therefore, if you go again to www.google.co.uk and type in 'car valet' on its own, you will see that Autovalet Direct are frequently number 1 on page 1 of Google out of over 569,000 competing websites (this is the FREE listings of Google, without the need to tick 'pages form the UK only', and not the 'Sponsored Listings' or 'Pay Per Click listings, which can be very costly to a start-up company).

We have similar examples in other industry types like 'accounting' or 'office refurbishment' as examples. We would be happy to demonstrate other SEO achievements as part of our Online Live Demonstration.
